Spideroak coupon8/28/2023 ![]() ![]() This gives you arguably the best data protection on the cloud backup market. SpiderOak One uses “No Knowledge” encryption to give your data NSA-level protection on your computer, in transit, and while it’s stored on SpiderOak’s servers. While there’s no mobile app, you can still download files to your mobile device through your SpiderOak One account online. That includes every historical version of your files. This point-in-time recovery gives you the security of knowing that if you suffer any type of data loss, your files will be protected and you can restore any version you want. One thing I like is that SpiderOak One retains every file on your account until you delete it. (See Performance for my experience with restores.)Īnd, unfortunately, you don’t get an offline restore option with SpiderOak One. Restoring files from the SpiderOak One desktop app is fast and easy, but you can’t restore directly from the Hive. You can run backups from every five minutes to once a week Restores If you prefer continuous or scheduled backups, you just need to go into the desktop app preferences to make the change. You have the choice of automatic, continuous, or scheduled backups. After your initial backup, subsequent ones are automatic by default. This means you might have trouble uploading files larger than 10GB. While SpiderOak One doesn’t have “hard limits” on file sizes, there are “practical limits” of 10GB for individual files uploaded via the desktop app. You can back up an unlimited number of computers, as well as external hard drives, removable devices, and some network volumes. SpiderOak One gives you two ways to back up your data: through the desktop app or using the SpiderOak Hive folder it places on your computer. Both will back up your files to the cloud, but backing up your files with the Hive will give you added functionality. But you can still access your account and download or share files from any mobile device with an internet connection.Īnd SpiderOak One has cross-platform functionality, so you can access your backup, sync your devices, and share your files no matter the operating system. It’s missing a few basics, though – like offline backup or restore, email backup reports or notifications, and a mobile app. SpiderOak One boasts some exciting and unique features. “No Knowledge,” 256-bit AES, private encryption keys Automatic (default), continuous (optional), scheduled (optional), backup from external drive, multi-device syncingįile type restrictions, fair use limits, no file size limits ![]()

Xenon atomic emission spectrum8/28/2023 ![]() The motion is so fast that it cannot be resolved by the eye, one sees a sequence of nodes and antinodes. The picture below shows how a string vibrates in the lowest three normal modes. The superposition of different normal modes is heard as superposition of ground- and overtones. These are called normal modes or eigenmodes. It is always possible to describe the motion of the string as a superposition of simple modes which have the peculiar property that all parts of the string move sinusoidally with the same frequency and phase. The exact way how a guitar's string vibrates depends on the spot where it has been plucked. Some simple examples will be used to demonstrate general properties of oscillating systems, standing waves in particular. For us it is important to realize that the electron forms some kind of standing wave. This is described in detail in all textbooks on quantum mechanics. Its possible wavefunctions can be obtained as solutions of the Schrödinger equation. Its nucleus carries one unit of positive elementary charge and thus binds only one electron to it. The hydrogen atom is the simplest of all atoms. Wavefunctions are used to calculate observable quantities in particular, the probability to find the (pointlike) particle in some volume is given by the squared value of the wavefunction integrated over the volume. Thus the electrons bound by electric force to an atomic nucleus (which contains almost all of the atom's mass) must be considered to be waves. The fact that these apparently contradictory attributes are compatible in matter waves and also in light (photons) is hard to understand, but all experimental data point out that this is the case. Waves always have some spatial extension, while one may imagine the elementary, indivisible particles as being “pointlike”. While we cannot dive into mathematical details here, the basic principles shall be sketched. Quantum theory is, so to say, the mathematical formulation of particle–wave duality. Only with quantum theory atomic structure can be understood. Nevertheless, to understand how the colours which surround us come about, one needs some basic knowledge on the smallest parts of matter. If the light of the sun is spread out into different colours by a simple glass prism, the narrow absorption lines cannot be seen. Neon, which gives red colour in a gas discharge, is a colourless gas. The aurora borealis (northern light) is very rare at our latitudes, and to appreciate the colours of cosmic objects, powerful telescopes are necessary. Neon signs (or other gas discharge tubes) as used for advertising, sodium or mercury vapour lamps show atomic emission the colours of fireworks are due to it. Light emitted or absorbed by single atoms contributes only very little to the colours of our surroundings. The same file with adapted formatting can be found here. (orig.Atomic spectra The html formatting and custom instructions have been disabled on this server. A list of wavelengths for observed laser transitions showing the present classifications and a discussion of the determination of the ionization potential of Xe II concludes the paper. The latter are compared to recent experimental measurements. We present an analysis of the 5s photoelectron satellite spectrum of Xe based on our calculated eigenvector compositions and calculations of transition probabilities for ground state transitions as well as lifetimes for the 6p levels. The former is the better coupling scheme for Xe II. The levels have been named in jK and for many levels also in LS coupling. A least-squares fit to the 5p 46p configuration is also reported. We have carried out least-squares fits to the even configurations and report the resulting parameter values and eigenvector compositions. Also a number of g-factors have been determined for the first time and we give in total 75 g-factors. We report 161 energy levels which have been identified on the basis of classifications of 950 lines. The latter has kindly placed the original wavelength list covering the wavelength range 10220-390 A at our disposal. This spectrum has been reanalyzed on the basis of the wavelength material published by Drs J. We present a revised analysis of the spectrum of singly ionized xenon, Xe II. ![]()

Boolean search and8/28/2023 ![]() ![]() Using the NOT operator allows you to get rid of negative keywords and narrow down your search results, and according to the previous example, your search should have the following form: Red Devils NOT Manchester United. So, you should use this when you would like your results to accommodate one distinct search term and not another. You need to make sure to place your keywords in the right order when using NOT, because the resulting records will exclude the latter term. The operator NOT will generate results that consist of the first of your search terms but not the second. This factor is used to exclude words from the research, the truncation of your results, and tell the database to overlook topics that might be hidden by your search keywords. So, the results that Boolean Search generates will be word for word with either of the search terms included in the list. OR means either or both keywords will appear in your search results. So, OR searches are helpful when you prefer results containing at least one keyword.įor instance, your search would look like this Red Devils OR Manchester United, based on the previous example. In a few words, OR will generate results that contain at least one of the chosen search terms. So, the OR operator between two terms will demonstrate results that include either the two terms you chose or both of them simultaneously. Using the operator OR in your search allows you to connect two or even more very much alike terms and widen your search results, informing the database that any of the search results can appear in the final results. To find online mentions for both terms, we should use the AND operator, and then both keywords will appear in your search results. Let’s take for example a sports team, like Manchester United, whose nickname is “Red Devils”. For instance, Google automatically adds AND in between keyword searches, and even though all the search keywords appear in the results, probably they are not combined the way you want. Using AND helps you narrow your results and informs the database that all search terms need to be presented in the resulting records.Īlthough you need to be aware that in several databases, the AND is implied. Try Mentionlytics for FREE Boolean search operator #1: ANDĪdding the AND operator between two terms the search results will show only results that include both or all of your terms. ![]() Using them allows you to make a search more focused, especially if your topic consists of numerous search terms and connects different pieces of information to find the exact match for your advanced search. These factors are fundamental when it comes to conducting a Boolean search. The 3 basic operators on how to do a Boolean Search are AND, OR, and NOT they bring together words to narrow down or widen your results. Therefore, using Boolean searches, you can monitor mentions that are flooding in more effectively. How to Do a Boolean Searchĭid you know that main search engines like Google use a Boolean search? We have already indicated that Boolean Search in brand monitoring helps you to get more precise. Plus, there is no limitation on the number of symbols you use in one research. You can use these elements as often as you want to build very distinct search strings a time-saving technique instead of filtering your results. It can turn out to be incredibly valuable, though, in more specific cases as well, like using a social search engine while performing social media monitoring.Īpplying the Boolean factors appropriately together with the keywords you want to take into consideration, can help you build a wide range of search procedures. Boolean Search can provide more accurate results and limit unrelated elements.Ī Boolean Search can be conducted on any search engine on the web just by using specific symbols along with the basic operators. This method is known for combining five different factors, including quotation marks and parentheses, besides the ones mentioned above, when creating research and using a search engine to its fullest potential. Boolean search is a searching method created in the 19th century, by George Boole, an English mathematician, that allows you to blend words and phrases by using AND, OR, and NOT operators to make your search broader or more limited and generate more defined results. ![]()

Puppy vaccine after effects8/28/2023 ![]() Sometimes simple respiratory infections can develop into serious life-threatening conditions. ![]() While the Bordetella vaccine is an optional 'lifestyle' vaccination, rather than a core vaccination, lots of doggy daycares, dog parks, or obedience classes will require your dog to be vaccinated against Bordetella to participate. What dogs benefit from having the Bordetella vaccination? It's important for pet parents to know that the benefits of getting the Bordetella vaccine highly outweigh the risks, as there are some side effects that might be concerning for some unprepared dog owners. Anaphylaxis in dogs usually occurs shortly after vaccination, but it should be noted that it can occur up to 48 hours later. Why should my dog get the Bordetella vaccine?ĭogs that spend a lot of time with other pups have a higher risk of catching Bordetella (also known as kennel cough) from their visit to a local dog park, the kennel, or their doggy daycare center and should be vaccinated against Bordetella to make sure they stay healthy and happy.įor dogs that spend most of their time inside, dog owners should talk to their veterinarian to get more information about the shot and find out if the Bordetella vaccine is right for them. Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that causes facial swelling, vomiting, hives, itchiness, diarrhea, and difficulty breathing. More severe reactions, on the other hand, may occur in a few rare cases, necessitating immediate medical attention. Vaccine reactions are typically mild and brief. If your dog does not recover within a few days or has more severe symptoms, contact your veterinarian. Your dog should be free of these symptoms within a day or two. Intranasal vaccine reactions are similar to cold symptoms, including a runny nose, coughing, and sneezing. ![]() Unlike the majority of dog vaccines, the Bordetella bronchiseptica and parainfluenza virus vaccines are administered via drops or sprays into the dog's nose. Your dog may also have trouble walking after a vaccination, but it shouldn't be anything to worry about. If the area where your dog received the injection becomes inflamed and sore, contact your veterinarian.īe careful, your puppy may be yelping or crying when you try to pick him up after vaccination. Infections can progress to more serious conditions if left untreated. Infection is indicated by increased redness, swelling, pain, or discharge. Keep an eye on the area where your dog got his injection. Infection is possible whenever skin is punctured. If the lump appears to be infected or hasn't gone away after a week, consult your veterinarian. The lump should gradually disappear over a week. This is a normal reaction, but keep an eye on the bump to ensure it doesn't continue to grow or show signs of infection, such as swelling, oozing, or increased pain. Following the vaccinations, a small, firm bump may form where the needle was injected into the skin. Vaccination-induced lumps and bumps are fairly common in dogs. If your dog's reaction continues for more than a couple of days, contact your vet. This is a normal reaction to vaccinations in dogs, and the symptoms should be mild and only last a day or two. This is often characterized by your dog just not acting like its usual self perhaps being a little more lazy than normal. Lethargyīeing lethargic after shots is one of the most common reactions to vaccines in dogs. Understanding the most common vaccine reactions in dogs, as well as what to do if your dog reacts to their shots, can make vaccination time less stressful for you and your pet. Nonetheless, loving pet owners should keep in mind that the majority of reactions are mild, short-lived, and usually far less dangerous than the illnesses against which vaccines protect. It's upsetting to see your pet react negatively to vaccines. Some dogs, however, react to receiving their shots. In most cases, the benefits of vaccinating your dog outweigh the risk of a vaccine reaction. ![]() Annual vaccinations are critical in keeping your dog safe from serious contagious diseases that can endanger his or her health. ![]()

Transformer police car prowl8/27/2023 ![]() Under Popkess, the Nottingham City Police began to use police cars as an asset that police tactics centered around, such as overlaying police car patrol sectors over foot patrol beats and using police cars to pick up foot patrol officers while responding to crimes. In the United Kingdom, Captain Athelstan Popkess, Chief Constable of the Nottingham City Police from 1930 to 1959, transformed British police from their Victorian era foot patrol beat model to the modern car-based reactive response model, through his development of the "Mechanized Division", which used two-way radio communication between police command and police cars. Over time, these became their own dedicated police fleet offerings, such as the Ford Police Interceptor and Chevrolet 9C1. Starting in the 1940s, major American automakers, namely the Big Three, began to manufacture specialized police cars. įord introduced the flathead V8 in the 1932 Ford as the first mass-marketed V8 car this low-priced, mass-marketed V8 car became popular with police in the United States, establishing strong brand loyalty that continued into the 21st century.
